Experience

I am a University of Michigan graduate with over eight years of experience tutoring concurrently at five different academic departments. To date, I have coached, motivated and guided a cumulative total of 165 students towards improving their academic performance by an average of up to two letter grades. With a high student return rate of 90% (9 out of every 10 students), I have worked with students from various backgrounds and needs - including student athletes, scholars, professional degree students, students with learning disabilities (ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia), special needs students, adults, university/college students, elementary school, middle school, and high school students. I am well known by parents and students for introducing impeccable yet easily comprehensible methods and approaches to understanding and utilizing concepts, interpreting questions, and developing solutions to problems. From working with me, students are able to minimize the time and energy that they use in understanding questions and solving problems, thus giving them great exam-taking comfort and zero exam-anxiety. A natural motivator, I easily elevate students' interest in their subjects using a combination of my experience, skills, and personality. I enjoy being committed to each and every student's academic development as well as personal development, and believe strongly in bringing out the best in them. My top main specialties are test preps (ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, GED, PSAT/NMSQT, SSAT, ASVAB, TOEFL, CLEP) and an extensive wide range of Math courses (Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, Math Analysis, Pre-Calculus, Differential Equations, Probability at all levels - elementary/beginner/intermediate/advanced/college/graduate/professional). Most common phrases that I hear from my students: "Gosh..why couldn't my instructor/textbook just tell me this?" "Goodness..it's so much easier now/than I thought it was" "I'm so glad I have you as my tutor! My instructor/textbook makes things so complicated" Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to arrange a meeting. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
